Mae Bennett Brown (1887 - 1973) was active/lived in Massachusetts, Kansas / England.  Mae Brown is known for Still life, seascape and marine painting.

My family has been collecting Mae Bennett Brown paintings for years. My Mom is 82 and received a floral Pastel as a high school graduation present. My Grandmother would go down to Rockport and buy her artwork when she was relatively unknown. When I attended Arizona State University Art School I found an original Rockport Art Association catalog in the ASU Hayden Library and copied the information, but have since lost this information. It had member information and a picture. Typical catalog.

What I remember is that she was born in England and moved to Rockport, MA and joined the Rockport Art Association I think in the 20's. She was possibly one of the first members.   ...  [Displaying 741 of 1407 characters.]  Artist bio
